DBT SKILLS TRAINING GROUPS

 

Adult Group : Ages 18 or older are taught all skills modules plus
dialectical thinking and self-compassion skills.

Parent Group: A 16-week cycle teaching one or both parents all skills
modules to use for themselves and to support skill use for their children,
plus walking the middle path, created specifically to address issue
between parents and teens.

© Family CONNECTIONS is a 12-week research-based, manualized family program. Family Connections was specifically designed to meet the needs of family members who have a relative with borderline personality disorder (BPD), or symptoms of the disorder. The program seeks to provide the most current information and research on BPD, to teach coping skills based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and to develop a support network. The groups are led by trained leaders who are themselves family members. Graduate Group : A 16-week cycle for people who have completed skills
training. Group members take an active role in teaching and supporting
each other to build mastery.

Multi-Family Group: A 16-week cycle teaching one or both parents and their
child all skills modules to use for themselves and to support skill use
for each other, plus walking the middle path, created specifically to
address issue between parents and teens.

Problem Eating Behavior Group : A 16-week cycle teaching all skills modules
plus mindful eating practices, dialectical abstinence, alternate
rebellion, and behavioral analysis.

Young Adult Group : Ages 18-27 years old are taught all skills modules plus
dialectical thinking and self-compassion skills.

Adolescent Group : Ages 13-18 years old are taught all skills modules plus
walking the middle path created specifically to address issue between
parents and teens.

Substance Abuse Group : A 16-week cycle teaching all skills modules plus
dialectical abstinence and self-compassion skills.

DBT Team Consultation Meeting: DBT requires that all team members meet
weekly to assist, support and continuously educate each other while
maintaining DBT adherence.

Intellectual Disabilities Group: Ages 18 or older are taught all skills
modules at a pace that is conducive to their learning needs.

Couples Group: A 10-week cycle teaching DBT skills that apply to conflicts
between partners. Required reading "The high conflict couple"

Children’s Group: 16-week cycle teaching emotional vulnerable children
ages 3-7 years old and 8-12 years old all skills modules at an age
appropriate level. Parent group runs simultaneously.

Princeton Theological Seminary Group :A 10-week cycle teaching students
that are entering the field of counseling all DBT skills modules.
