DBT Center of NJ is proud to announce…

  • We have updated our training to include the latest advancements and techniques in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • EMDR is an evidenced based treatment modality that uses a variety of strategies to alternately stimulate both sides of the body, and thereby activate both sides of the brain. This process has been shown to help the brain access distressing information, and begin the path toward healing in ways that standard talk therapy alone does not.
  •  EMDR is a gentle approach to complex trauma that does not require reliving traumatic experience. Through bilateral stimulation the brain process experiences into memories while enhancing a healthy core belief system.
  •  EMDR has been found to be extremely helpful with children, adolescents, adults and couples. The core strategies of this treatment can be used both to reduce distressing symptoms related to traumatic events, as well as, for increasing adaptive coping skills for current and future events.
